Find the Cost of Freedom

January 31, 2017

I am so heart broken. I feel such a heavy weight, such a sadness. It's so hard to be a witness to the horror going on in the world right now.

I look at the face of Alexabdre Bissonette, and I can't help seeing my own sons. A young man, with beautiful face, and the decades stretch out before him.  I mourn for him. I do. I can't stop crying.

What happens to someone to make them feel so hateful, so lost?

What a nightmare. I want to wake up.

Tomorrow, I will have to stand in front of my students. People, who on the whole, just want a better life for themselves and their kin. What do I tell them?

O Canada, true, strong and free.

O Canada, O Canada, O Canada
